the zoo of all zoos

San Diego Zoo. is. awesome.
with 2 young ones, we took the lazy way through the zoo, but a tour that i would highly recommend. first off, the bus tour. Everett must have thought i looked delicious. he could not stop eating my face!
so i kissed all over his :) such a cute chubby little thing! how i love chunky babies (and super skinny, spit-up-all-the-time bulimic babies...because that's what i had)
it was fun to see Camden and Everett interact-- they are going to be such good buddies. or at least they better be, because Regan and I are awesome buddies, so they must be as well.

Camden really liked to imitate the animals, that is until we got to the polar bear. as we drove by, the polar bear walked over to his pool and dove in. for some strange reason, the ferocious act scared Camden and he did not want to "roar" at the great white bear.
but he did make up for his stage fright by roaring extra loud at the sleeping lions.

we waited in line and saw the baby panda. i've always thought that somehow, someday i would own one of these...
when Camden spotted the panda, he immediately yelled "hi-yah!" yes, the only panda he knows of comes with the voice of Jack Black and practices Kung Fu. funny kid :)
for our final tour of the zoo, we took the overhead sky coaster and enjoyed the view from above.
on our way out, we had to stop by the monkey cages. i think they may have been training for a marathon. they kept running around the glass in circles...and Camden wanted to join, so when they would come around to us, he would run the length of the glass with them.
sometimes i think he associates better with some of our furry friends, than us. or maybe they just remind him of home, sweet home. either way, we are zoo lovers for life.
