when asked my top 5 favorite activities on this vacation, this not only made the list, but was ranked number 1! yup, i did indeed rank the mormom battalion tour as the top activity, and here is why...
after the tour, they not only took your picture for. free. (where else does that happen?) but, they gave you a copy immediately! it made me wish i had a polaroid camera again. they also emailed you the pics so you can re-print them. i was blown away. so cool!
we got to look up a member of our family on the archives of battalion members. it filled me with pride to see the last name "Judd" appear on that sceen, and even more to show Camden a little bit about the man he was named after. (Camden Zadek Judd)
we also got to experience a few recreational activities, battalion style. the kids loved it, and i loved seeing their faces! we panned for gold,
played in the band (which made me think my kid has a future in music-- he concentrated so hard on that violin),

cooled off in the water pump,
and took a great, highly entertaining, and interesting tour.
i would recommend the mormon battalion museum to anyone. well done, mormons, well done ;)
after the museum, we hung out around old town San Diego.

i think i laughed until i cried when Laura stepped in this...
we also hosted a "best tasting rootbeer contest". Camden was a huge fan.
old town San Diego is so charming with all the little shops and mexican cuisine.
